
This photo shows the church of San
Antonio di Padova, the church inside the Villa.
This photo has now become part of
history, in that the drained fountain in which San Antonio is standing no
longer exists.
The lights and the cardboard cut out
Saint Anthony are added each year to celebrate his feast day on 13 June.
The church was badly damaged in the
1980 earthquake. If you look closely at the brickwork above the right door,
you will see alternating layers of brick and stone as is required by modern
building regulations.

This is a view of the
procession on 13 June when the statue of San Antonio from the church is
carried around the town in a procession.
Here they are heading down Via
Independenza and are about to turn left into Via Nazionale. The petrol
station is just out of shot of the bottom right of the photo.
